Overturn the Chat Control 1.0 Parliamentary Coup
On April 2024, Roberta Metsola and the EPP used a procedural trick to keep CSAM scanning active after it was democratically voted down twice. On the final day of the session (when many MEPs had already left for recess), she forced an absolute majority vote of all theoretical 719 MEPs to reject the Council's proposal. Because absolute numbers couldn't mathematically be reached by the reduced number of present members, the law survived despite a clear majority voting against it.

Terminate Chat Control 2.0 (Break Encryption)
Ylva Johansson and corporate tech lobbies are pushing a permanent regulation to legally break end-to-end encryption in the EU.
